About me
I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1967 to a French Acadian mom and a dad of British ancestry. After travelling around and living in a few different provinces, I've lived in the Comox Valley since 2000 with my husband and our two now adult children, one of whom made me a very proud grandmother in 2020.
I was a certified teacher, freelance writer, and artist while raising our kids (I'm still an artist) and, when they were teens, online learning made it possible for me to achieve my long-time goal of completing graduate studies to become a Clinical Counsellor. I finished the last two of my 20 years in the School System as an Elementary School Counsellor.
I'm a very warm, empathic, and genuinely friendly person. I love to deeply listen and connect with people. I also love to play.

I hope I get to meet you and have the honour of helping you on your journey.
~ Tara
