Do you feel burnt out trying to make your marriage or other  relationships work? Are you worried about your child's mental health or addiction issues? Do you feel alone, frustrated, or sad in your family relationships? Are you unsure of what to you do when your loved one won't accept help?  Navigating complex, sometimes chronic relationship challenges on our own can be very difficult.

Hi. I'm Tara, a Registered Clinical Counsellor in the Comox Valley, BC.  I specialize in helping people find their way through relationship issues.  Most of my clients have tried everything they could to improve their situation.  They often feel stuck and may be exhausted from chronic tension or worry. They need to be seen and heard by someone who has the experience and skill to help them meet their goal of discovering what they can do to: increase self-confidence, decrease stress, gain clarity about the role they play in their relationship with self and others, help their loved one, or learn how to get on with their lives, perhaps letting go of the relationship entirely or letting go of trying to control it.  My clients often want direction because they are suffering and don't know what to do.

Some of the underlying relationship issues I help with include:

codependency, collaborative problem-solving, healthy communication, neurodivergence (ADHD), grief and loss, and life transitions.

Over the last 12 years, I have worked with people on every issue imaginable. I have found that when we are a good fit, we can work through most anything together.
