Background

Originally from Halifax, I have lived in the Comox Valley since 2000 with my husband and our two kids and various pets.  I am down-to-earth, intuitive, and definitely not a "blank-slate therapist" - for example, I will tell you here that I was diagnosed with ADHD late in life and that I was born in 1967. My life experiences complement (rather than form the basis of) my practice as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, giving me a depth of empathy that cannot be forced.

I am committed to ongoing professional development dedicated to best, up-to-date practices as a therapist working with couples, parents, and individuals seeking help for the issues listed on my website.  And so, I "walk the talk" and have made tremendous gains in my life and so, I  believe, will you.

I have a sense of humour and you may hear a hint of my Nova Scotian accent and the occasional swear word.
