Tara Hope is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and Certified Teacher.  She holds a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours Psychology).  She works with men, women, youth, children, families, and athletes who are seeking peace with themselves, others, and food as well as other issues (please click on the COUNSELLING tab above for more information).  Beyond her private practice, Tara works as a counsellor with Upper Island Counselling Services, an Employee and Family Assistance Program provider in Campbell River and Comox.

​​HOPE COUNSELLING & CONSULTING  is located in a peaceful setting in North Courtenay.  Signage is discreet from the road pointing down a meandering, private driveway to the cottage office among mature fir and cedar trees.  Here you may find a pathway to peace with yourself, with others, and substances or behaviours that previously undermined your serenity.  You will gain a fresh perspective in a safe, supportive environment where you may empower yourself without disempowering others.

Tara and her husband, two children, and pets have lived in the Comox Valley for over 18 years.  She enjoys long hikes in the woods with her dog, playing guitar, skiing, mountain biking, creating art, and a really good cup of coffee.  Mindful, meditative practice is an important part of her journey.  A Certified Teacher and former School Counsellor, Tara has many years' experience working with children and families.
